Anywhere education – new capabilities to accelerate learning

Catering for a technology savvy Millennial community, Universities represent one of the most innovative and fast-moving environments of the new mobile paradigm. With over 90% of the University population accessing at least 3 devices the revolution in e-learning is encouraging anywhere, anytime access to information and two-way collaboration. At the same time, Universities are challenged by an ever-increasing risk both physical and virtual, from extreme elements who are hard to pin-point or ring fence.

As the leader in mobile communications security, BlackBerry is uniquely placed to enable and encourage the accelerated delivery and take-up of e-learning, teaching and administration in an increasingly safe and protected virtual environment. This leaves staff and students free to use their device of choice as a convenient mobile channel to access course information and collaborate on every aspect of work, study and social interaction while leveraging the full budgetary benefits of facilitating fully secure holistic potential offered by BYOD.

Parents and university staff gain reassurance that such powerful network controls do enable the secure adoption of the mobile e-University while at the same time proving potentially life-saving should a major incident occur by linking students, emergency agencies and families together. These controls can also protect individual privacy and information property. In this respect BlackBerry is a front runner in implementing GDPR controls.

Our discussion dinner will hear from the senior BlackBerry manager responsible for the education sector, and provide a stimulating forum for discussion and sharing of current challenges and opportunities associated with e-learning, data protection and student safety.
