Closing the business-IT expectation gap

Date: 19th Sep 2013

Venue: Christopher's (WC2E)

An amazing dining experience awaits you in one of London's most historic buildings, the site of the capital's first licensed casino. The gaming tables, which once saw Victorian gentlemen pursue their "noble hobby" lay at the top of the grand spiral staircase where the restaurant is now situated.

The gambling has gone but in its place is the finest American cuisine to be found in London.

In a recent CBR survey of 200 senior IT decision-makers in the UK, 86% of respondents agreed that there is a gap between the expectation of business users and what IT is actually able to deliver.

There are a number of reasons believed to be behind this gap: people have come to expect a lot from technology in their personal lives, with gadgets and web services giving a highly tailored experience and high quality of service. On the flip-side IT budgets have been under pressure, and IT is often having to do more with less. So much of the IT budget is spent keeping the lights on that there is little left for strategic projects that are more likely to impress the business.

Attend this CBR Dining Club to learn about some of the ways that you can maximize IT for real business advantage. You'll hear specifically about three key technologies that can help the organisation to harness information faster and increase the pace of innovation: Converged Infrastructure, Unified Storage and All-flash Systems. As always, there will be plenty of time to have your questions answered and network with your peers.

Join for an evening of sumptuous food and enthralling discussion.
