The Three Step Data Journey: Discovery, Governance and Privacy

Why would your organisation collect data if it can’t be used to gain insight? And what is the point of collecting data if, ultimately, your organisation is not allowed to use it in a way that delivers value? These are the twin challenges for those contemplating data collection and its use in 2018, the year that will finally see the introduction of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Anyone charged with resolving these two questions cannot afford to miss this CBR Dining Club evening, brought to you in association with Hitachi Vantara.

On 25 May 2018 organisations must make one-time decisions or lose lawful access to and use of data. The GDPR has no grandfather provision or any other exemption that allows for continued use of personal data collected prior to that date. Take no action and there’s a real danger that intelligence – likely to inform operations and inspire innovation – will be lost forever.

During the evening we’ll chart a path from data discovery to data governance and big privacy. We’ll explore the process of understanding value, especially in sensitive data. We’ll discuss the ways new and forthcoming regulations govern how personal information can be accessed and stored. And we’ll talk big privacy, methods to conduct business and process data without compromising data subject privacy.

If data is your business – and your day job – this is the event for you.

Join us at the fantastic surroundings of the Ivy City Garden, situated in the heart of the city & learn & share with industry peers on this most compelling topic.
