Hybrid and holistic: a maturity model for cloud adoption

Traditional IT delivery – built to provide high volume transaction processing – is too static for today’s requirements. If organisations are to transform they need the technology to match. And that’s why they are increasingly turning to cloud as a means of service, platform and infrastructure delivery.

So far, so good. The problem, however, is that many of these organisations are not realising the savings, efficiencies and transformative benefits they were promised. This is in part because of the difficulty in migrating legacy systems to the cloud and in part because while the delivery mechanism may have changed, the approach has not: too many organisations are taking the same processes and placing them on the cloud.

At this specially-convened CBR Executive Breakfast, in association with IBM, we’ll explore realities of a hybrid environment and how to realise the true benefits of cloud – public, private, hybrid – as a major part of your IT mix. We’ll ask what a holistic approach to IT delivery looks like today and to what extent cultural change should play a role.
